The Sound Resonance Project Concert

The Musical Acoustics Lab of the Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the International
Arts and Mind Lab, Brain Science Institute, Johns Hopkins University (USA) and Empatica (ITA/USA); and with the support of PRIMA Management (UK), the City Administration of Cremona and the Cultural District of Violin Making, propose an experimental concert to answer this very question.
The “Discanto Vocal Ensemble”, directed by Giorgio Brenna, will perform a program of Easter music designed to trigger a wide range of emotions for this very experiment.
The Soprano Sabina Macculi will perform excerpts of the operatic tableau “Oh My Son”, recently
premiered at the Metropolitan Opera of New York. She will be accompanied at the piano by the composer of the opera himself, Marcos Galvany.
As part of the audience you will have the chance of actively taking part in this experiment by wearing special Empatica wristband, through which we will sense your emotional reaction.
