Riflessioni a Partire dal Piano Periferie del Comune di Milano

The theme of urban peripheries is back at the centre of public attention and discussion, also thanks to the Government call for the Urban Renewal and Security of Urban Peripheries and of a number of initiatives on the part of Local Authorities and private foundations. The Milan Municipality, within the Fare Milano framework programme, has planned a number of intervention projects in peripheral areas and has recently launched a call to select local projects. In this framework Dastu proposes a number of initiatives, starting with this Seminar, aimed at promoting an articulated and plural public debate.

The Seminar, moving from researches in which Dastu professors have been involved, proposes an open discussion on policies aimed at peripheral areas under course in Milan, as a first step towards the start of a wider set of initiatives. In Autumn 2017 a two-day workshop will be organised, partly at Politecnico and partly in the city, aimed at reconstructing a map of problems and actions to re-launch the main themes of discussion in a strategic and project-oriented perspective.
