Design Clinic: Dialogue with the Third Sector

Off Campus Cascina Nosedo opens its doors to the numerous third sector bodies of the Corvetto-Chiaravalle area, for a moment of meeting and dialogue. The aim of the day is to present the “Design Clinic” initiative, developed by the Innovation and Interior Research Laboratory of the Department of Design, and to listen to the ideas and needs of the associations regarding the spaces that host them.

LOC1_23. Regenerative Environmental Design Experiences in the Vettabbia Park

LOC _ Local Open and Circular is a series of conferences, promoted in collaboration with the Università degli Studi di Milano, on practices for the enhancement of abandoned territories starting from the most widespread categories of land use. The first event will be held on 21 April at the Off Campus Cascina Nosedo, promoted by DAStU (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies) and aimed at learning about some of the environmental regeneration practices underway in the arable land in the area of the Vettabbia park in Milan: in particular the activities of Madre Project – school of bread and places (https://madreproject.org/ ), promoted by the association Terzo Paesaggio and the activities of Soulfood Forestfarms (https://soulfoodforestfarms.it/#progetti).

CHORALE. Laboratory of future bread
Throughout the week will also be hosted, at the outdoor space of Cascina Nosedo, the “Laboratory of future bread”, collective baking activities aimed at boys and girls from 8 schools in the area, organized by Terzo Paesaggio and realized as part of Making MadreProject. With the support of Fondazione di Comunità Milano Città, Sud Ovest, Sud Est; Martesana onlus.

Municipal market in Viale Monza 54

Inauguration of the new social space OUT. The social courtyard
20 April 2023 h 11:30 – then activities until evening

OUT. The social courtyard is the project for  the reactivation of the courtyard of the Municipal Market in Viale Monza 54 promoted by Associazione  MEMO54, ilVespaio ETS, Associazione Genitori Ciresola, with the support of Off Campus Nolo of the Politecnico di Milano and financed by Fondazione di Comunità Milano and Fondazione Claudio De Albertis. The project is also the subject of a collaboration agreement signed with the Municipality of Milan and Municipio 2, for the care and animation of the new space returned to the neighborhood.
The inauguration day will see an institutional moment at 11:30 am in which the objectives and purposes of the project will be illustrated. Afterwards in the afternoon and until the evening there will be workshops and educational activities on the themes of recycling and reuse of plastic and coding promoted in collaboration with Off Campus Nolo, MEMO54, ilVespaio ETS, Ciresola Parents Association.

OFF CAMPUS SAN VITTORE

Laboratorio Carcere – DAStU (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies Politecnico di Milano) with  the project Extraordinary space, intends to develop a device for the promotion of physical activity within a courtyard of the detention wards of San Vittore.
The initiative promoted as part of the activities of Off Campus San Vittore, has activated a collaboration with the Casa Circondariale di Milano San Vittore – F. Di Cataldo, the advanced treatment department la Nave (ASST Santi Paolo e Carlo) and the association Gli Amici della Nave. The prototypes will be exhibited during the Design Week in the Patio di Architettura as part of the New Architectural Design Landscape initiative.
