Is the performance of Public Administrations affected by their strategic planning processes? The answer to this question is of crucial importance from a public management perspective, especially for indicating how to improve the effectiveness of organizational and policy interventions.

In this seminar, this fundamental topic will be presented and discussed by one of the leading scholars in the area of public management and administration, Prof. Bryson, McKnight Presidential Professor Emeritus at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.

The webinar, primarily organized for PhD students and faculty from Politecnico di Milano, can also be attended by interested scholars, students and colleagues from other Italian and European universities.

John Bryson is Professor Emeritus at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He works in the areas of leadership, strategic management, and the design of organizational and community change processes. He wrote the best-selling and award-winning Strategic Planning for Public and Nonprofit Organizations, 5th Edition (2018), and co-wrote with Barbara C. Crosby the award-winning Leadership for the Common Good, 2nd Edition (2005). He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
