POLIMIFEST25 | Screening of the film Foto di famiglia in collaboration with Milano Film Fest

Polimifest 25: Cinema takes the stage with Foto di famiglia(The Asadas)

The third event of the Polimifest 25 series is dedicated to cinema, featuring a screening of the moving film Foto di famiglia (The Asadas), directed by Ryôta Nakano. 

Inspired by a remarkable true story set in Japan, the film follows a young photographer who decides to place his own family at the heart of his art, fulfilling their long-held dreams through his lens. As his career flourishes, he chooses to use his talent to help others, preserving their most cherished memories through the power of photography.

The film is part of the Scintille section of the Milano Film Fest and will be introduced by Professor Allegra Martin, a photography lecturer, who will offer insights into the visual language and emotional depth of the medium.

This screening aligns perfectly with the overarching theme of Polimifest 25, “Technology for Humanity”, portraying photography as a technological tool that fosters empathy, rekindles memory, and serves as a bridge between past and future. A true spark of hope, even in the face of adversity.
