“Milan l’è semper on gran Milan” to use the words of the old Milanese song written by Giovanni D’Anzi and Alfredo Bracchi in 1939. A metropolitan city, our beloved Milan, which since the eighteenth century, has attracted travelers and musicians, like a very young Mozart.
During that time, The Six “Milanese” Quartets K 154-160, are written to be performed in one of the academies that populated the city.
The same liveliness and cultural richness can be found in the most recent Milan, the ones of the songwriters of the 60s and 70s with personalities like Nanni Svampa, Enzo Jannacci and Giorgio Gaber.
