Polimibus – Un tuffo in piscina. Infrastrutture politecniche per il nuoto

The itinerary proposes to visit selected swimming pools realised in Milan by alumni of the Politecnico di Milano in the twentieth century, to discover – with Paolo Bossi and Barbara Galli, professors of History of Architecture of this university, facts and design details that will reveal a system of architectures of water, imagined by architects and engineers for Milan: infrastructures for sport and for swimming, realised not as isolated elements, but as large, comprehensive systems of infrastructures for the city.

The event will be held in Italian 

Registration is compulsory, with a 10 euro fee.
The registration will be confirmed upon payment of the fee via bank transfer. Information and instructions regarding payment will be sent via email within 1 working day of the registration.

The event will be held in accordance with anti-covid measures (distancing, face mask, hand hygine): “reinforced” Green Pass will be required to visit the pools, and FFP2 masks will be required to access the bus.

Please be aware that some of the pool buildings will present architectural barriers (such as stairs) that are devoid of elevators.
