NASA International Space Apps Challenge
NASA International Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon that will take place during 48 consecutive hours among October 20th-21st, 2018 in cities all around the globe at the same time. Coders, scientists, engineers, designers, authors, creators, constructors, technicians and other enthusiasts will gather to solve the current challenges related to the Earth and Space sciences.The final result of the event will be the creation of Apps and proposals of answers to challenges posed by NASA, that can be found in this link. The results of the hackathon are going to be open access. At the end of the event, a jury will select the winner teams. These will participate in the global judging, competing at international level with the winners of other local hackathons. The global winners will be invited to visit a NASA location (Visit NASA at Kennedy Space Centre). To have an idea of the goals and aims of the event, we invite you to check the sites of the past editions, 2017 and 2016. Teams of 4 to 5 people are encouraged. The Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of Politecnico di Milano is going to be the location of the event in Milan, with the support and sponsorship of the General Consulate of the United States of America of Milan that will promote the initiative, and also the patronage of Comune di Milano.
