Multi-Celerity Propagation in Bed-Load Sediment Transport

This talk will consider different bed-load transport processes with increasing complexity, as observed in laboratory experiments. Up-to-date, image-based measurements highlight the existence of various features and key quantities of the investigated processes, any feature migrating differently from the others. An experimental proof is then given of a sort of “cascade” of celerities at different scales, and of the dependency of these celerities on the control parameters.
