La scienza controversa.
Quando i ricercatori litigano e la conoscenza progredisce 

The pandemic has spotlighted scientists from the disciplines involved (virologists, epidemiologists, statisticians, biomedical researchers). Sometimes they have held divergent opinions, expressed disagreements, given rise to quarrels. Other times they have proposed to disregard or modify standard protocols of the scientific method. Overall, scientific and technological research has shown a side of controversies and negotiations for which the public, accustomed to the ideal of the cumulative progress of science, was not prepared.

The debate will focus on the intrinsically controversial nature of scientific and technological research and will make scientists and engineers, philosophers and sociologists of science discuss the collective mechanisms that allow scientific knowledge to progress.
