Event Details

In Italy, every square metre of earth that we excavate today holds what remains of the body and deeds of a man who lived in previous centuries. This land is, therefore, sacred.

What entitles us to forget this? We have the responsibility of living and designing in an exposed museum.

In his lecture for MANTOVARCHITETTURA, Paolo Zermani, Professor of Architectural Composition at the University of Florence, tells us how twenty centuries of experiential accumulation have taught us that, even in architecture, reliance on the open and imperfect system of blank delegation to the present time is no less childishly naive than reliance on the closed and perfect system of antiquity.

The project must be awareness and replanting, not regret.

The lecture is held in Italian.

The event will be published on the Mantova Campus Youtube channel.
