Archives of samples and new research perspectives on conservation and knowledge

The meeting aims to foster an interdisciplinary reflection on the historical, scientific, and cultural value of sample archives collected from cultural heritage. These archives are an irreplaceable resource for the information contained within the stratigraphy of the samples. In a context of constant technological evolution, sample collections gain new potential: they can be re-examined through non-invasive analyses, opening up new research perspectives for the future.

The official language of the event is Italian. English will be used for the international contributions and for the session entitled “Reuse of Samples and New Scientific Investigations”.
