A Sicilian girl, very tied to traditions, accepts tacitly being kidnapped by a fellow countryman because he hopes for a reparatory marriage. The seducer, however, flees frightened in England and she follows him armed with a gun to avenge his honor. Little by little, the freer ideas of British society conquer the young southern who, when she finds the seducer, does not think in the least to use the weapon and prefers an English doctor.
