Within Milano Arch Week, the week-long event devoted to architecture and the future of cities directed by Stefano Boeri with Politecnico, Triennale and Comune di Milano, in collaboration with the Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, Mario Botta will present a lecture in  Politecnico di Milano on May 22th, at 6.30 pm.

BIO
Born in Mendrisio in 1943, Mario Botta graduated in architecture at the IUAV in Venice, where he met and began working with Le Corbusier and Luis Kahn. In 1969 he opened his own studio in Mendrisio and began a fervent career that led him to create significant and exemplary works. Numerous important projects in religious architecture were also carried out. He is an invited professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale EPFL in Lausanne and at the Yale School of Architecture New Haven, Connecticut, and full professor at the EPFL Federal Polytechnic School in Lausanne. In 1996, he contribute to the program for the establishment of the new Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio-Ticino, where he carried out teaching activities, and later became Dean.
Among the numerous awards he won at the Chicago Architecture Award (USA)
