The sailor Giovanni Soldini arrives at Politecnico di Milano, for the second appointment with Art and Science 2019, to talk about his achievements, the technological evolution of sailing boats from monohulls to multihulls, the thrill of solo sailing and team spirit on board during transoceanic races. Paolo Schito, professor of aero-hydrodynamics of sailing, will keep him company for a discussion on how research can support navigation performances and safety.
