How does our species appear to other inhabitants of the earth? Is a more sustainable future than our present conceivable? What possibilities are there for achieving a new harmony between nature and progress?
These are some of the questions posed to us by the mechanical crows of Corvidae, the new work by Marta Cuscunà, which features the flock of birds from La fabbrica del Mondo – the Rai 3 program by Marco Paolini and Telmo Pievani – for the first time free to “perch”, outside the small screen, on the stage of the Teatro Studio Melato.
A complex reflection, that of Corvidae, in which the themes of sustainability, of the human being’s relationship with technology and, more generally, of our ability to plan the future are intertwined: in a word “species views”, perspectives ironic and disenchanted that Cuscunà delves into in an open conversation with the teachers, experts and students of the Politecnico di Milano.
Participating in the dialogue: Andrea Bonarini, Davide Fassi, Teresa Di Muccio, Alejandra León, Eugenio Morello, Martina Motta, Carolina Pacchi, Gabriele Pasqui, Paolo Pileri.
Curated by Antonio Longo and Teresa Di Muccio (DAStU) in collaboration with Piccolo Teatro di Milano – Teatro d’Europa
