The Kid

A seduced and abandoned woman finds herself with a newborn baby, which she has no idea how to raise. So she leaves him in a luxury car hoping that its owner will give him a better life than she would be able to offer it. However, two thieves steal the car and abandon the baby in a down-at-heel quarter. A vagabond finds it and tries unsuccessfully to get rid of it. He ends up acting as his ‘assistant’ and fights to keep him when the social services try to take him away.
