POLIMIFEST25 | Concerto “Absolutely… Ennio Morricone” In collaborazione con Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti

To close the 10th edition of Polimifest 25, the concert Absolutely… Ennio Morricone will take the stage — a tribute to the genius of Maestro Morricone, presented in collaboration with the Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti.

The evening will feature cellist Luca Pincini and pianist Gilda Buttà, two outstanding performers and long-time collaborators of the composer, who will perform some of his most iconic film scores in the original versions specially written by Morricone for them.

The program offers a captivating musical journey through scores that have left a mark on the history of cinema: from Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion to the Tornatore Suite (The Legend of 1900, Cinema Paradiso, Malèna, A Pure Formality), and the evocative Leone Suite (Once Upon a Time in America, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly).

Alongside these cinematic masterpieces, the concert will also include concert compositions and pieces from the Maestro’s “absolute” music — works not written for film, but conceived as stand-alone expressions of his profound artistic inspiration.
