Brunetto De Batté born in La Spezia in 1948, graduated from the School of Architecture in Florence, he was director of the Urban Planning Office of the Municipality of Arenzano from 1980 to 1982 and professor of Architectural Design from 1982 to 2012 at the School of Architecture in Genoa, where he directed the Master of Architecture for the Performing Arts and coordinated research and consultancy for AMT, FS, MURST, RL and various Ligurian Municipalities. With Giovanna Santinolli, founder of the DS Laboratory since 1976 (experimental urban design laboratory) where they have curated and experimented several studies on collective housing.
Since 1997 he has been editor of Anfione Zeto. Since 1988 he has been correspondent of the Yapi and XXI magazines. He directs the Taccuini of Xanadu series and writes the Landscapes & Rooms section in different webmagazines. He has participated in two editions of the Milan Triennale and five editions of the Venice Biennale.
