Event Details

James Wines (1932) is an architect graduated from the Syracuse University and American artist. In 1970, together with A. Sky, E. Sousa and M. Stone, he founded in New York SITE (Sculpture in the Environment), movement through which he directs his experimentation toward “living” urban locations, such as squares, open spaces, parking areas, highways. His is an “environmental art”, referred to architecture with a particular orientation toward the “communication space”, thus giving to the discipline strong social and pedagogical connotations.
