Event organized on the occasion of the Milan Digital Week.

Authors and authors of historical, sociological, semiotic and architectural studies are entrusted with a reflection on women’s spaces. In actuality as in the past, productive, reproductive and care work conditions their lives, but also marks the organization of domestic and collective places inhabited by women with forms of socio-cultural inclusion or segregation.
In light of contemporary debates on the built environment, training, research and professional practice in the field of architecture, the question of the daily places in which women live and work remains a field of investigation to be carefully explored.
Thanks to the contribution of authoritative guests, the talk deals with the relationship between women, production and care activities and spaces from a historical, sociological, semiotic and architectural point of view, to narrate its evolution over the different eras and to put in relief the hierarchical or innovative structures present in Western society and their reflections on the inhabited space.
