MANTOVARCHITETTURA 2020 – HBIM

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a new approach to the construction industry that allows you to manage all phases of the construction process: from the project to its construction and maintenance. HBIM systems (where H stands for Historical) take the same approach to the built heritage, paying particular attention to the knowledge of the building, which is a decisive phase for the definition of the project. Politecnico di Milano is on the front line in the study of these systems and, through a continuous exchange with architectural firms, managing bodies, engineering companies and software houses, seeks to define good practices in the sector and to train the professional figures who will be in great demand in the construction sector in the coming years.

In the meeting promoted by professors and researchers of the Hesutech group of MantovaLab, the results of the first post-graduate training course organized by the Politecnico will be described, together with emblematic cases of the professional sector.
