The Role of the University in Fragile Territories

THE ROLE OF THE UNIVERSITY IN FRAGILE TERRITORIES – INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
5-7 May 2025

The international conference “The Role of the University in Fragile Contexts” aims to foster a dialogue between Italian, Latine American and international experiences about how universities interpret and enact their public role in contexts characterized by social fragility and increasing inequalities. The event will focus on addressing the challenges of knowledge co-production and fostering collaborative learning processes within and with marginalized territories and communities as a way to develop more just, inclusive, and usable research.

The conference is framed into the PRIN PNRR project “Urban co-production and inclusive planning in marginalized contexts”, and it is supported by CRAFT – Competence Centre for Anti Fragile Territories of DASTU Politecnico di Milano and carried out in collaboration with the research network Tracce Urbane.
