The accelerated melting of glaciers due to global warming implies, in continental areas, limitations on the availability of water in river basins.
The seminar illustrates the state of the art of global glacialism and the related impacts on the availability of water resources for civil uses.
Based on field studies conducted by the staff of the Climate-Lab of the Politecnico di Milano.
The seminar will then illustrate research and results obtained in Europe, Asia and South America.
